Picture is one of the ways of educating a child and the general public about a thing or someone. Theories might sound abstract but when it is represented, it becomes simplified. Art works are Educative and entertaining in nature. It produces sensation and emotion in persons.
Picture is a result of art work. Art work can serve as monument and when ever it is being looked on, it reminds one the thing or person in question. Say in another way, it can serve as a depiction: it can represent things and people. In art work, meaning are codified and it takes intelligence to interpret those meaning.
Nevertheless, in the ancient period, people like Plato and Aristotle criticised art. For Plato, art is the imitation of the imitation of the real: it is three degree away from reality. He was conditioned by his theory of form.
Amidst all the criticism of art work, it is still very important in our society. For me, everything we do is art. Art is all about creativity. The words we use are made of our creative thinking and so it is art.
The world is the world of art although science has been trying to disvalue art but science cannot do without art. Thinking is as a result of art, and so on. Ipso facto that art is an integral part of the universe, man cannot not live a life outside art.
